Lissy co-founded The Healing Centre with her husband Luke, driven by a vision that preventative healthcare should be accessible to all.

Before co-founding The Healing Centre, Lissy completed her PhD in Sustainability and has spent over a decade working in the sustainability field in private and public sectors, education and NGOs. She currently works for the University of Auckland and is the Chairperson for a leading conservation organisation in Auckland.

For Lissy, sustainability isn’t just about the environment, and she is particularly passionate about social sustainability and ensuring equitable access to healthcare that serves everyone in our diverse Auckland community. She believes that everyone deserves quality care, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Looking ahead, Lissy has plans to develop nature-connection programmes at The Healing Centre, to help people rediscover their relationship with the natural world as a pathway to better health for both people and planet.
